While impressing everybody with his consistency and adaptability in the Indian Premier League this season, younger Kolkata Knight Riders batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi is nurturing his ambition of taking part in red ball cricket.
A batter who can play good cricketing photographs, the 20-year-old Raghuvanshi (241 runs) has displayed his skill to rotate the strike. He can unleash the massive hits, deal with stress conditions and has emerged as probably the most profitable batters, behind captain Ajinkya Rahane (297), for KKR. Now, he desires to point out his price in the Ranji Trophy as well.

βThere are a lot of ambitions. Itβs about thinking of the next match… if I have a red ball match, maybe in the Ranji Trophy, then before that [I would like to] think about how Iβll score big in that match,β Raghuvanshi instructed The Hindu.
In his second 12 months in the IPL, the teen has tailored to the challenges of batting at totally different slots in the center order. βTo be honest, Iβm not sure (about my flexibility). I have only opened (the innings) in my life. This is a learning experience for me, I am trying to do my best and grow.β
Raghuvanshi feels his method shouldn’t be totally different this season. βItβs just the same, prepare well, try to figure out what the bowlers are doing and react to the ball.β
His Mumbai and KKR captain Rahaneβs steering has helped Raghuvanshi. βHe is a role model, always leads from the front and inspires us to do well. Also gives valuable lessons on how to go about the batting… someone I can look up to always.
βI interact with (players) from other teams, trying to figure out how they go about their game so that maybe I can inculcate some of that in my own game,β mentioned Raghuvanshi, having fun with the help of his household.
