Lovely Professional University (LPU) has introduced the termination of all Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with establishments in Türkiye and Azerbaijan, in response to those nations’ pro-Pakistan stance throughout current Indo-Pak tensions.
In an announcement, the college stated it had formally ended six educational partnerships with establishments from Türkiye and Azerbaijan, citing geopolitical developments that it considered as opposite to India’s nationwide curiosity.
The determination entails the speedy cessation of pupil and college alternate applications, joint analysis tasks, twin diploma initiatives, and all different types of educational collaboration with these nations.
Ashok Kumar Mittal, Founder Chancellor of LPU, stated, “When our brave armed forces are risking their lives – whether in covert operations, air defence, or patrolling our borders – we, as an institution, cannot remain indifferent.”
He added, “LPU’s mission has always been aligned with the growth and integrity of India, and we will never associate with any institution that undermines India’s sovereignty.”
