NEW DELHI: Actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan condemned the arrest of a Symbiosis law pupil, who was booked for allegedly hurting ‘non secular sentiments’ via a viral video posted throughout ‘Operation Sindoor’. The pupil, arrested by West Bengal Police from Gurgaon following a courtroom warrant, had earlier deleted the video and issued an apology after it drew criticism on-line. Taking to X, Kalyan questioned the silence over repeated cases of alleged blasphemy by TMC leaders and MPs, accusing them of mocking Sanatana Dharma by calling it “Gandha Dharm”.

Meanwhile, Symbiosis International University distanced itself from her feedback, stating they didn’t replicate the establishment’s values. The college suspended her and barred her from placements.
