Pakistani actor Mawra Hocane’s Instagram account is seen in India, two months after a ban. The actor’s account was banned amid tensions between India and Pakistan.
On July 01, 2025 (Tuesday), Instagram customers stated that they had been in a position to see her profile. Her account was banned following the Pahalgam terror assault in Jammu & Kashmir that killed 26 vacationers.
Mawra rose to fame in India with the romantic drama Sanam Teri Kasam (2016). The Harshvardhan Rane-starrer loved a terrific run in theatres throughout its re-release earlier this yr.
The actor criticised India’s Operation Sindoor, terming it a cowardly act. Mawra was slammed by Indians for her feedback. Due to the controversy, the actor was dropped from the sequel of Sanam Teri Kasam.

After the Pahalgam assault, the Indian authorities banned Pakistani artists, blocking their social media account in India. While Mawra’s account is seen, the Instagram account of celebrities akin to Mahira Khan, Atif Aslam and Hania Aamir proceed to stay banned in India.
