The Telangana Crime Investigation Department (CID) has introduced the arrest of three officers of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) in a case involving forgery, dishonest, felony breach of belief, and misappropriation of funds.

A felony case was registered on Wednesday (June 9, 2025) on the CID Police Station, Hyderabad, based mostly on a grievance by Dharam Guruva Reddy, common secretary of the Telangana Cricket Association (TCA). The HCA president A. Jagan Mohan Rao, treasurer C. Srinivas Rao, CEO Sunil Kante, common secretary Rajender Yadav and his spouse G. Kavita, had been detained for questioning on July 9.

On Thursday (July 10, 2025), CID groups introduced the arrest of Jagan Mohan Rao, Rajender Yadav and Kavitha. Further investigation is ongoing.

CID officers discovered that Jagan Mohan Rao, with the assistance of Rajender Yadav and his spouse Kavitha, cast paperwork associated to Sri Chakra Cricket Club. β€œThese were falsely presented as belonging to Gowlipura Cricket Club, using the forged signature of its president, C. Krishna Yadav. This was done to enable Jagan Mohan Rao to fraudulently enter the HCA and take charge as its president,” CID mentioned in an announcement.

Further investigation revealed that Jagan Mohan Rao, in collusion with the treasurer Srinivas Rao, CEO Sunil Kante, and others, misappropriated public funds and dedicated felony breach of belief. The group can be accused of wrongfully restraining Indian Premier League (IPL) Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) officers, utilizing threats and blackmail to demand complimentary tickets and entry to company bins.
