India-US trade deal: Commerce Ministry team to visit Washington again for trade talks

An Indian Commerce Ministry team will quickly visit Washington for one other spherical of talks with the U.S. for a proposed trade pact, a authorities official stated on Thursday (July 10, 2025).

The official stated that negotiations will occur on each interim and the primary part of the bilateral trade settlement (BTA) throughout this visit.

The visit dates haven’t but been finalised. However, sources are saying that the team is predicted to visit Washington subsequent week.

Earlier this month, the Indian team led by chief negotiator Rajesh Agrawal, returned from Washington after concluding talks on the pact.

This visit is critical because the US has additional prolonged the imposition of further import duties (in case of India it’s 26 per cent) until August 1.
