R. Doraiswamy assumes charge as LIC CEO and MD 

R. Doraiswamy took charge as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) on Monday.

This follows the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, notification appointing Mr. Doraiswamy, MD, as the CEO and MD of the State-owned insurer for 3 years from the date of assumption of charge or until his attaining the age of 62 years (i.e., August 28, 2028), or till additional orders, whichever is the earliest.

Consequent to his taking charge, Sat Pal Bhanoo, MD, ceases to carry the monetary and administrative powers and features of the CEO and MD.

LIC stated Mr. Doraiswamy is a direct recruit officer of seventeenth batch with greater than 39 years of wealthy and numerous expertise in operations, Marketing, Technology and Academics. As MD, he headed advertising by bancassurance, group enterprise, buyer relations, finance and compliance features.
