In the final 2.5 months, the Ministry of Finance has opened greater than 61 lakh new bank accounts, and has created greater than 2.6 crore contemporary enrolments in its three flagship insurance schemes as part of its three-month Financial Inclusion Saturation Campaign, the Ministry mentioned on Tuesday (September 16, 2025).
Launched on July 1, 2025, the marketing campaign was performed by the Department of Financial Services with an purpose to incorporate each final particular person within the nation below financial inclusion schemes.
“The campaign’s primary objective is to extend the reach of flagship schemes — Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana [PMJDY], Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana [PMJJBY], Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana [PMSBY], and Atal Pension Yojana [APY] to all eligible individuals across the country,” the Ministry mentioned in a launch.
Towards this, camps are being performed in all the two.7 lakh gram panchayats and concrete native our bodies. So far, 2.3 lakh camps have been organised with 15 days left within the three-month interval.
