New Zealand skipper Sophie Devine and Australia vice-captain Tahlia McGrath had related solutions when requested in regards to the relevance of the Women in Yellowâs utter dominance over the White Ferns forward of their ODI World Cup fixture.
For the document, it has been greater than eight years because the White Ferns beat Australia in an ODI.
âThanks for that stat. I think itâs a great opportunity. Those stats are there and weâre aware of them, but it doesnât matter in World Cups. Records and previous results go out of the window for us. We love any opportunity that we get to play against Australia, who is sort of like our big sister,â Devine mentioned throughout the pre-match press convention right here on Tuesday.
âThatâs a pretty good stat. But these [records] are irrelevant in a World Cup, as it is the hardest to win,â McGrath echoed. âWeâve got a really nice rivalry with New Zealand. We call it the friendly rivalry.â
Both of them have been in settlement on the traits of the Holkar Stadium, which is internet hosting its first ladiesâs worldwide match.
âYeah, weâve gone through the data. It looks like a really high-scoring venue. And just walking across the ground, it looks like such a cool stadium to play in,â McGrath opined.
Devine added: âYeah, I guess thatâs the interesting part of this World Cup. There hasnât been much womenâs cricket played at many of these venues in the past year. Itâs pretty exciting. I thought the wickets here were incredibly flat, and the outfield looks brilliantâ.
