MUDA scam case: ED attaches 34 more properties worth over Rs 40 crore

NEW DELHI: As a part of its ongoing investigation into the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) land scam case, ED Saturday connected 34 more properties worth over Rs 40 crore, taking the entire worth of belongings connected to this point to over Rs 440 crore. Based on an FIR registered by the Karnataka Lokayuktha, the Enforcement Directorate is investigating a large-scale scam in allotment of websites by MUDA authorities.“Investigation revealed routing and layering of undue gratification obtained by GT Dinesh Kumar, former commissioner of MUDA. The proceeds of crime were used to purchase properties in the name of relatives/associates of Dinesh Kumar. Probe also revealed illegal allotment of 31 MUDA sites by Kumar,” the company stated Monday.
