The makers of Bison Kaalamaadan, acclaimed Tamil filmmaker Mari Selvaraj’s upcoming movie starring Dhruv Vikram, unveiled the movie’s trailer on Monday (October 13). Produced by Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Studios in affiliation with Applause Entertainment, the movie is about to launch in theatres for Deepavali on October 17.

The trailer reveals glimpses of a narrative set in 1990 at a village in southern Tamil Nadu. The sport of Kabaddi lives tall in the hearts of the youth right here, particularly Kittan, the protagonist performed by Dhruv. However, his father (essayed by prolific actor Pasupathy) abhors his son’s curiosity in the game, believing that it breeds violence in a city already divided by communal hate.

The trailer intercuts the grotesque social actuality of life in this village with Kittan’s rebellion, as he makes use of Kabaddi to scale up the social ladder and break away from the shackles.
