Six held for possession of 1,200 narcotic tablets in Vaniyambadi

Six individuals have been arrested by Vaniyambadi Town police for possession of 1,200 narcotic tablets (Tapentadol) on the new bus terminus in Vaniyambadi city in Tirupattur on Saturday.

Police mentioned the arrested individuals have been recognized as S. Akash, 23, B. Prasanth, 22, V. Pratap, 21, Ok. Arish, 20, R. Prasanth, 21, and S. Ashwin, 21. They are residents of Coimbatore. Initial inquiry revealed that based mostly on a tip-off to Tirupattur SP V. Shyamala Devi, particular groups have been fashioned to conduct shock checks in locations like bus terminus and railway stations and remoted buildings in the district.
