RPSC SI exam admit card 2026: The Supreme Court of India on Friday modified its April 2 order and allowed just one candidate to appear within the Rajasthan Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment examination 2025. Earlier, the courtroom had permitted 713 candidates to appear within the exam, in accordance to PTI.The examination is being carried out by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission on April 5 and 6, 2025. The recruitment drive goals to fill 1,015 Sub-Inspector and Platoon Commander posts, and over 7.70 lakh candidates are anticipated to appear within the examination.
Supreme Court modifies earlier order
According to PTI, a bench comprising Justices Dipankar Datta and Satish Chandra Sharma modified its earlier choice after listening to submissions from the RPSC.Earlier, the courtroom had directed RPSC to subject provisional admit playing cards to 713 candidates, together with petitioner Suraj Mal Meena. However, after reviewing the matter, the bench restricted the reduction to Meena alone.The courtroom mentioned that each one different candidates who weren’t half of the petition can strategy the Rajasthan High Court for additional reduction, if required.
Background of the case
The subject relates to the Sub-Inspector and Platoon Commander recruitment exam, which was earlier cancelled due to allegations of irregularities and malpractice.The RPSC later determined to conduct a recent examination. However, no age rest was granted to candidates who turned ineligible due to age limits. This led to authorized challenges earlier than the Rajasthan High Court.Initially, a single-judge bench allowed affected candidates to appear provisionally within the exam. This order was later stayed by a division bench, prompting one candidate to strategy the Supreme Court.
Court’s course
The Supreme Court has now clarified that:
- Only one candidate shall be allowed to appear within the exam
- Other candidates can strategy the Rajasthan High Court
- Further selections will rely upon the High Court’s pending verdict
