IT main Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Sunday mentioned that the agency has adopted a zero-tolerance coverage in direction of harassment and coercion of any type for a very long time, confirming the suspension of workers allegedly concerned in sexual harassment at its Nashik workplace.

The clarification comes in the wake of allegations of sexual harassment and compelled spiritual conversion by eight feminine workers on the multinational firm’s workplace in Nashik.

Earlier this week, the police shaped a particular investigation crew (SIT) to probe the complaints lodged by eight workers, who claimed that senior colleagues mentally and sexually harassed them, and the human assets division turned a deaf ear to their complaints. The police have since arrested seven individuals, together with the corporate’s feminine HR supervisor.

The firm, in an announcement, mentioned, “TCS has a long-standing zero-tolerance policy towards harassment and coercion of any form. We have always ensured the highest standards of safety and well-being of our employees at the workplace. As soon as we were made aware of the matter in Nashik, we took swift action.”
The workers being investigated have been suspended pending enquiry, the corporate’s spokesperson mentioned, including that the agency is cooperating with native legislation enforcement authorities and any additional motion can be based mostly on the conclusion of this investigation.
