Three-day parole for ‘Savukku’ Shankar to attend mother’s funeral

The Greater Chennai Police has granted a three-day parole to Youtuber ‘Savukku’ Shankar alias A. Shankar, a detenu below the Tamil Nadu Goondas Act of 1982, following the demise of his mom, A. Kamala.

He was detained below the Goondas Act and the detention order was served to him in Puzhal jail on April 10, 2026.
