An anganwadi worker at Koranchira close to Ottapalam was bitten by a snake on Saturday. Vishala Kalathilthodi, 57, sustained the chew on her finger whereas clearing the overgrown entrance yard of the anganwadi.
She was first taken to the Government Hospital at Sreekrishnapuram by the native residents and later shifted to the Government Taluk Hospital, Ottapalam.
