Abandoned Huskies rescued by volunteers from AASRA and Shakuntala Society for Animal Welfare and Nature (SWAN) foundations

Siberian huskies have been found abandoned alongside the Shankarpally–Patancheru highway close to Bhanur village. At least eight have been as of Tuesday (April 28, 2026). Rescuers estimated that over 30 canines could have been abandoned within the space.
The incident got here to mild after Animal Shelter for Rescue Aid (AASRA) acquired a name from an area pet proprietor alarmed by the situation of the animals. “We received a call . that over 30 dogs had been abandoned in the area. The person who alerted us owns a golden retriever. He acted out of concern and compassion,” mentioned Gowri Vandana, founding father of AASRA.
