A photo exhibition held in Kochi highlighted birds commonly found in Kerala

Over 32 photographers have been a part of the annual hen pictures exhibition organised by Induchoodan Foundation on the Durbar Hall Art Centre in Ernakulam. The three-day exhibition featured 52 pictures. And among the many pictures displayed was one in all an Oriental Darter (cherakkozhi) by actor Mammootty. 

The pictures have been printed on canvas. An audio facility was offered on the gallery which performed sounds of birds chirping. The pictures have been principally of birds found in Kerala, accompanied by notes from Induchoodan’s acclaimed e book, Birds of Kerala.

The Induchoodan Foundation was established a 12 months in the past with author Paul Zakariah as Chairman to honour the legacy of the famend birdwatcher and writer Professor KK Neelakandan, higher referred to as Induchoodan. The basis goals to create consciousness about the necessity to have compassion and love for all dwelling creatures whereas additionally selling Malayalam language, as Induchoodan wrote Malayalam prose regardless of his mom tongue being Tamil.

Since its inception, the inspiration has organised a sequence of exhibitions, lectures, and different programmes throughout Kerala. 

The exhibition concluded on August 20.
