
NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Monday pulled up the petitioner for seeking security and security of tourists from terrorist assaults in hilly areas throughout summer time holidays.
A bench of justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh informed advocate Vishal Tiwari that the PIL was solely meant for publicity with none public trigger.
“Why have you filed this kind of PIL? What is your real motive? Don’t you understand the sensitivity of the issue? I think you are inviting some exemplary cost for filing this PIL,” Justice Surya Kant informed Tiwari.
The petitioner lawyer mentioned this was the primary time that tourists in Jammu and Kashmir have been focused, and therefore, he was seeking instructions for his or her security.
The bench, in its order, mentioned, “The petitioner is indulging in filing one after the other PIL in which the primary aim appears to be to get publicity with no real interest in the public cause.”
This comes days after the highest court docket refused petitions seeking a retired SC choose supervised judicial probe over lethal terror assault in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, which claimed 26 reside.

“Be responsible before filing such PILs. You have some duty towards country also. Is this the way you want to demoralise forces? Since when we acquired expertise of investigation? Do not file such PILs which demoralise the forces,” mentioned a bench of Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh.
