Several persons are feared killed following a stampede that befell at the Sheetla Mata Temple in Bihar’s Nalanda district on Tuesday (March 31, 2026).
The district administration has now closed the temple to sort out the scenario.

Locals alleged that there have been no correct safety preparations at the temple to regulate the gang. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and State Assembly Speaker Prem Kumar have expressed grief over the incident and guaranteed all doable assist can be offered to the victims.
The Chief Secretary has been instructed to inquire concerning the incident and submit a report back to the federal government.
