Taking severe observe of violations of organisational self-discipline, the Congress on Thursday (April 16, 2026) suspended 5 Haryana MLAs from the first membership of the party with instant impact for voting against the party nominee throughout Rajya Sabha elections final month.

Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee president Rao Narender Singh stated that MLAs Shalley Chaudhary, Renu Bala, Sardar Jarnail Singh, Mohd. Ilyas, and Mohd. Israil representing Naraingarh, Sadhaura, Ratia, Punhana and Hathin constituencies respectively have been suspended for anti-party actions.
