DPIIT inks pact with GEAPP to support climate-tech startups

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade on Saturday (May 17, 2025) stated it has inked a pact with Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) to support early-stage climate-tech startups by way of funding entry, and mentorship.

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade on Saturday (May 17, 2025) stated it has inked a pact with Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) to support early-stage climate-tech startups by way of funding entry, and mentorship.

As a part of the MoU, GEAPP will launch the Energy Transitions Innovation Challenge (ENTICE), a aggressive platform providing up to $500,000 in rewards for high-impact options, it stated.

Investment support may also be facilitated by way of companions like Spectrum Impact and Avana Capital, it added.

Joint Secretary within the division Sanjiv, stated this partnership would open vital alternatives for clear vitality startups to scale applied sciences that support the nation’s long-term net-zero goals.

The MoU was signed by DPIIT Director Sumeet Jarangal and Saurabh Kumar, Vice President – India, GEAPP.
