Sanmar Herald, fired at by Iranian forces, was amongst some seven Indian-flagged vessels that sought to cross the Strait of Hormuz on Friday-Saturday (April 17-18, 2026) and returned to the Persian Gulf, as per marinetraffic.com.

Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) crude oil tanker Desh Garima, which went to Persian Gulf for drydock repairs, exited the strait, as per the tracker web site.
