Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on Monday (October 6, 2025) mentioned the prices of electrical vehicles (EVs) in India are anticipated to be on par with these of petrol-powered vehicles throughout the subsequent 4 to six months.

Presently, the dimensions of the U.S. vehicle business is ₹78 lakh crore, adopted by China (₹47 lakh crore) and India (₹Rs 22 lakh crore).
Mr. Gadkari identified that farmers have earned a further ₹45,000 crore by producing ethanol from corn.
Furthermore, the Minister mentioned that “We have initiated a programme under which we aim to use the entire segregated solid waste in the country in road construction by 2027, thereby creating value from the waste.”
