The government on Thursday (April 30, 2026) mentioned home urea manufacturing has reached 37.49 lakh tonnes in March-April, almost matching final yr’s ranges despite the West Asia disaster, whereas securing 37 lakh tonnes of imported urea to satisfy the shortfall forward of the Kharif season.

Total home fertiliser manufacturing stood at 62.37 lakh tonnes throughout March-April, whereas imports have been at 15.39 lakh tonnes.
