Las Vegas has reportedly been chosen to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup draw on December 5, in accordance to ESPN and TUDN Mexico.The draw ceremony will decide the groupings for the expanded 48-team match, which shall be collectively hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.The draw will organise groups into 12 teams of 4 nations every.This marks the second time Las Vegas will host a World Cup draw, having beforehand hosted the ceremony for the 1994 World Cup when the United States was the sole host.Initial studies from ESPN instructed The Sphere, a newly opened 17,500-seat venue from 2023, was thought of the main candidate for the draw location.However, Sphere sources later confirmed to each AFP and ESPN that the draw wouldn’t happen at their venue.Similar to 1994, Las Vegas will host the draw regardless of not being chosen as a bunch metropolis for any World Cup matches in 2026.
