Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Aminul Islam has said that the BCCI has not but confirmed whether or not India will tour Bangladesh this August. Earlier, in April, the BCB had introduced the itinerary for India’s go to, which included three ODIs on August 17, 20, and 23, adopted by T20Is on August 26, 29, and 31, with matches deliberate in Mirpur and Chattogram.According to Islam, the BCCI plans to determine solely after consultations with the Indian authorities.“I have already spoken to the BCCI. The discussions have been positive,” Aminul instructed the media following the nineteenth board assembly held on the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Monday.“We are hopeful. The tour is scheduled [for next month], but they are awaiting some government approvals.”
He added that if India can’t journey in August, the BCCI has assured Bangladesh that the series will likely be performed within the subsequent accessible window, although no particular motive was given for the present uncertainty.“The talks are ongoing. If for any reason they can’t come in August, they will tour in the next window. We are still optimistic about this schedule. All I can say is that the BCCI has been professional and cooperative,” Aminul stated.
