England captain Ben Stokes received the toss and elected to bowl first throughout the first Test towards India in Leeds on Friday (June 20, 2025). It would be the first Test for Shubman Gill as captain and he’s main an younger Indian group with out the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
For India, the Tamil Nadu star batsman Sai Sudarshan shall be making his Test debut and he’s anticipated to bat in No.3 place.

India and England gamers observe silence in reminiscence of aircraft crash victims
India and England gamers together with on-field umpires noticed a minute of silence in remembrance of the victims of the tragic aircraft crash in Ahmedabad.
