Mumbai Indians (MI) batter Will Jacks mentioned his staff is in good spirits ahead of the final league stage encounter towards Punjab Kings (PBKS) right here on Monday.
With Gujarat Titans, PBKS and Royal Challengers Bengaluru all dropping factors this week, MI remains to be in with a likelihood of ending in the highest two. The Hardik Pandya-led aspect wants a win in its final sport and a few assist from Lucknow Super Giants towards RCB to play Qualifier 1.
“The camp is feeling good. We’ve been progressing nicely throughout the whole competition. Since we’ve come back [from the break], we’ve just fit back into how we were before, and obviously every team wants to finish as high as possible,” Jacks mentioned throughout the pre-match press convention.
“Every game we play, we focus and approach in the same way. It doesn’t matter whether it was the first game or the last group game. We’ve prepared well for every opposition, and we’ll be doing the same for tomorrow,” he added.
MI’s formidable top-order has scored the lion’s share of the runs thus far this season, proscribing the batting impression of floaters like Jacks. But the Surrey batter mentioned that he’s joyful to maneuver up and down the order as required.
“We’ve got an incredibly strong batting line-up, and sometimes that means that some situations are better suited to other players. I’ve loved my time. It’s such a brilliant batting line-up to be a part of, and only positives have come out of it,” he defined.
