Responding positively to a uncommon outreach of J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, leaders and legislators in the Valley are turning up in anti-drug rallies and consciousness campaigns organised by the administration.
Mr. Sinha, who’s in-charge of the safety of J&K, wrote formal letters to the legislators, civil society members and the heads of the political parties to join the struggle in opposition to drug menace.
“It is my considered view that the success of this campaign is contingent upon the adoption of a whole of government approach, bringing together the full institutional strength of the UT administration under a unified, mission-oriented framework,” reads the letter of the L-G, which was circulated amongst the legislators.
