The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) on Friday (August 29, 2025) paid ₹7,324.34 crore dividend to the Centre.

CEO and MD R. Doraiswamy introduced the cheque to Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman because the government of India’s share of the dividend authorized by the shareholders on the annual basic assembly held on August 26, LIC mentioned.

Secretary to the Department of Financial Services Nagaraju M, Joint Secretary Parshant Kumar Goyal and LIC managing administrators Sat Pal Bhanoo, Dinesh Pant and Ratnakar Patnaik in addition to ZM (incharge) of Northern Zone J.P.S. Bajaj have been current.

LIC is finishing 69 years and stays the market chief within the nation. Its asset base stood at ₹56.23 lakh crore as at March 31, 2025, the State-owned life insurer mentioned in a launch.
