When a singer makes a comeback, with a romantic song that too, there’s hope that music is alive, love is alive and that there all the time are takers for love songs. Sreekanth Sasikanth, a musician and tv character, who took a break from the highlight to the rigours of a company job, is again with ‘Kadhal Vaaney’, a delightfully refreshing Tamil single.
Composed by Nidhin Joe Jacob, the song is breezy, but tugs on the heartstrings. Sreekanth, who’s again after a seven-year hiatus, says he determined to return to music full time as a result of with every passing day, he had begun to overlook singing a little extra. And when the precise song offered itself, he didn’t hesitate. He stated ‘yes’ and ‘Kadhal Vaaney’ was born. Penned by Karuna Saran, the song was recorded at R72 Studios in Coimbatore earlier this yr. “SreRam Anand, the founder of the studio, helped me perfect my Tamil diction,” says Sreekanth. The song was combined and mastered by Ashbin Paulson and it has Muhammed Huzzain on the guitar. “As a musician, it is satisfying to make a comeback with an original track,” says Sreekanth.
Having been away from the music scene for seven years, a lot has modified, he observes. “From the way music is made to the way it is experienced has undergone a shift. But it offers better possibilities for artistes like me. The independent music scene is vibrant now and there is a lot to experiment with.”
Sreekanth, who has skilled in Carnatic music, entered the music scene as a contestant in standard singing competitions on TV. He went on to anchor standard dwell musical exhibits on Kairali TV. For over 10 years, Sreekanth was a acquainted presence in tv.
