Mumbai’s Andheri Magistrate Court has dismissed actress Tanushree Dutta’s FIR towards actor Nana Patekar. The case, filed at Oshiwara police station on October 10, 2018, was associated to an alleged sexual harassment incident from March 23, 2008.

The court dominated that the case was time-barred below the Limitation Act. The police had earlier submitted a ‘B summary report’ citing lack of proof.
Tanushree didn’t search condonation for the delay in submitting, and the court discovered no enough grounds to proceed. Over 100 folks have been reportedly current on set throughout the alleged incident, however no robust proof supported her claims.
Advocate Padma Shelatkar acknowledged, “My clients failed to understand the reason for coming up with these false allegations. With a large fan following built through hard work and dedication, they believe the accusations were made solely to tarnish their reputation with an ulterior motive.”
She added, “However, some individuals misuse the law to target respected names in the industry, which is unfair and unethical, impacting the careers of veterans. My clients have endured significant hardship over the past seven years, facing immense stress and trauma, which I have personally witnessed.”
“Today, the Hon’ble Andheri Magistrate Court dismissed the complainant’s case. This case serves as a reminder for those who may be unfairly targeted with ulterior motives under the guise of the #MeToo movement. We had faith in law and order, judiciary and we are delighted with the outcome of the case today,” she concluded.
