NASA’s two stranded astronauts started their journey again to Earth aboard a SpaceX capsule on Tuesday (March 18, 2025), marking the tip of an unexpectedly extended mission.

Barry Wilmore and Sunita Williams, who have been initially a part of Boeing’s troubled take a look at flight, spent greater than nine months in area. They departed the International Space Station (ISS) alongside two different astronauts, lastly bringing their dramatic mission to an in depth.

Wilmore and Williams arrived on the ISS in June 2024 aboard Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft, initially scheduled for an eight-day mission.
