Pakistan selectors on Sunday (August 17, 2025) not noted seasoned batters Babar Azam and Mohammed Rizwan whereas saying their 17-member squad for the tri-series within the UAE later this month adopted by the Asia Cup.
The PCB introduced the squad on its web site that includes senior quick bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammed Wasim and left-arm bowler Salman Mirza.
In the lead-up to the Asia Cup which might be performed in T20 format within the UAE from September 9, the Salman Ali Agha-led aspect will play a tri-series in opposition to Afghanistan and the hosts UAE at Sharjah from August 29 to September 7.
Pakistan are positioned together with arch-rivals India in Group A, additionally that includes the UAE and Oman, within the eight-team Asia Cup event which might be held from September 9 to twenty-eight.
