Punjab Kings opener Prabhsimran Singh believes the group is on monitor for a protracted-awaited IPL playoff return, because of a renewed sense of function under captain Shreyas Iyer and head coach Ricky Ponting. Speaking on the Star Sports Press Room, the 24-yr-previous, who has been with the franchise since 2019, praised the duo for reworking the group’s mindset and method.

“It’s been seven years for me with Punjab Kings. So obviously, they have backed me a lot. And you can say that this year, we are playing very different cricket. And I feel that we are dominating most of the time,” Prabhsimran mentioned.

Despite a rain-affected match towards KKR, the opener stays optimistic. “The chances of qualification are still very high. And obviously, if we qualify, then we will look towards the trophy. The team has trusted me all these years, now it’s my turn to pay them back.”
