Bora, who was leading demonstrations demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar and raising concerns over the special intensive revision of electoral rolls, staged protests for a second consecutive day. Speaking to cameras from inside a police bus while being detained, Bora alleged that a woman constable named Priti assaulted protestors. She claimed the constable used her elbows and nails against them and pulled their undergarments.

The demonstration on Saturday led to the detention of approximately 150 protestors, including Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal, senior advocate Prashant Bhushan, and Swaraj India leader Yogendra Yadav. Other prominent figures participating in the march included senior advocates Nithya Ramakrishnan and Pallav Sisodia.

Delhi Police stated that the protestors did not have permission to demonstrate at Jantar Mantar. Security personnel intercepted the group near Jantar Mantar Road after they moved from the Patel Chowk area and breached the first line of barricades. Police subsequently removed the protestors from the site in buses.

The gathering followed a call by Bora urging supporters to return to Jantar Mantar by 1 pm following police actions on Friday, when numerous students, political figures, and civil society members were barred from reaching the designated protest site.

Authorities have enforced prohibitory orders across the national capital, banning unauthorized gatherings and processions. Heavy security deployments, including additional police and paramilitary forces, along with barricades on routes leading to Jantar Mantar, remain in place across central Delhi.
