The entry of Leemarose Martin, spouse of lottery baron Santiago Martin, who’s testing electoral battle on the AIADMK ticket, has made the Lalgudi constituency as one of many keenly watched constituencies in the State.
Ever because the AIADMK nominated Ms. Leemarose, who was born in Devakottai, the cadres have been canvassing votes for her by visiting each village in the constituency. The reception that she receives in villages has enthused the employees of the AIADMK, which has not received the seat since 2006. They work extra time to safe victory for Ms. Rose, the wealthiest candidate in the Assembly elections.
