HYDERABAD: The Telangana authorities on Friday elevated the allocation of funds for offering meals and different fundamental wants of scholars staying in social welfare residential establishments within the state. The federal government elevated the ‘food plan and beauty expenses’ for college students by about 40 per cent, official sources stated.
The enhancement would profit as many as 7,65,705 college students within the state, they stated.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy requested the officers to introduce new food plan within the hostels as per the hike in funds allocation in 10 days.
Reddy stated the modifications in food plan ought to be sure that the scholars get nutritious meals on a regular basis.
The hike, introduced as a Diwali present, was welcomed by college students of the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Academic Establishments Society (TSWREIS), an official launch stated.
State Girls and Youngster Welfare Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka and different leaders thanked the Chief Minister for the choice.
