Tesla, the American electrical automobile firm, on Tuesday (July 15, 2025) formally commenced its India operations by opening its first ‘experience centre’ at Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai. It shall be adopted by one other one in Delhi NCR quickly at an unspecified date.
The firm introduced the launch of Model Y in two variants, beginning at ₹59.89 lakh. This mannequin shall be imported from Tesla’s manufacturing facility in China and shall be retailed in India.
Before the merchandise are delivered in India, Tesla would arrange a strong charging infrastructure in Mumbai and Delhi-NCR, firm officers stated.

Bookings opened
The firm has opened bookings for each variants and has acquired encouraging response from the market, in line with firm officers.
Model Y has been the best-selling automobile in 2023 and 2024 and is more likely to retain this standing this 12 months as properly. Officials claimed that the automobile’s efficiency and expertise units it aside from different automobiles in the market.
For the second, Tesla automobiles shall be registered in Mumbai, Delhi and Gurugram. The firm has employed the required gross sales and repair personnel for supporting the Indian operation.
