Season 3 of Rotary Club of Chennai Carnatic (District 3234) Thalir Kala Awards held at Vani Mahal, T. Nagar on Friday noticed enthusiastic participation from younger classical musicians. Participants competed in two age teams — beneath 12 years and 12 to 18 years — throughout vocal and instrumental classes, together with string and wind devices.

Club president Arun Mahadevan stated the initiative was designed to encourage the youthful technology to interact with classical traditions. “Carnatic music is not just an art form — it is a living heritage that must be experienced, practiced, and passed on.”
