Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Wednesday (September 10, 2025) mentioned that India is in ‘active dialogue’ with the United States for a free trade settlement.
The Minister mentioned that negotiations are occurring with the European Union as nicely in the nationwide capital for concluding a trade settlement.
Besides, he added, India can also be in talks with New Zealand for a trade pact.
“We are in active dialogue with the USA and New Zealand for a trade agreement,” Mr. Goyal mentioned at an occasion of trade physique FICCI.

The Minister mentioned that India has already concluded trade pacts with Mauritius, the UAE and Australia.
Also, the Minister mentioned, “We will soon finalise second tranche of trade agreement with Australia”.
