The public demonstration aims to demand accountability within the electoral system, safeguard against the wrongful deletion of eligible voters, and ensure transparency across additions, deletions and modifications in electoral rolls, according to party officials.

Addressing reporters at the state party headquarters on Saturday, AICC general secretary in charge of Haryana Sanjay Dutt and state Congress president Rao Narender Singh accused the BJP of eroding electoral transparency. The leaders argued that protecting voting rights is a fundamental constitutional issue rather than a standard political dispute, and challenged the ruling party to directly address opposition concerns regarding electoral fairness instead of dismissing them.

The upcoming protest builds on the 2024 Haryana Assembly election outcome, where the Congress previously raised objections concerning the polls and results, while also citing ‘vote chori’ allegations made by Rahul Gandhi to demand a reliable inquiry.

Preparations for the Delhi gathering were previously evaluated on October 23 in New Delhi by AICC general secretary for organisation K.C. Venugopal. Party leadership has instructed district and block chiefs, current and former legislators, former ministers, and electoral candidates to manage local turnout and travel logistics.

State leadership urged party cadres to rally supporters throughout every district, while also calling on farmers, labourers, youth, students and women to participate in the demonstration.
