The military raids targeted the Union of Palestinian Women’s Committees and the Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, where forces confiscated equipment. Alongside the office searches, Israeli snipers were deployed outside the entrances to the Palestine Medical Complex, the largest government medical facility in the West Bank, according to the official Palestinian news agency Wafa.

The operation unfolded in the centre of Ramallah while children were at school and residents were at work, generating widespread panic among the local population over potential gunfire. During the coverage of the incident, Israeli forces fired stun grenades at journalists reporting from the scene.

Reporting from Ramallah, Al Jazeera journalist Nida Ibrahim noted that the targeted Addameer organisation had faced previous closures by the Israeli military. The NGO, which focuses on prisoner rights, has been designated as a terrorist organisation by the Israeli army and establishment.
