The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has introduced a cash reward of ₹131 crore for the Men’s T20 World Cup-winning squad and support staff.

BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed the announcement by means of a media assertion on Tuesday (March 10, 2026). “With this victory, India also became the first team to win the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup three times, further cementing their place among the most successful teams in the history of the format,” Saikia said.

The Hindu understands that every of the 15 gamers within the squad will obtain ₹6 crore, whereas the remaining ₹41 crore can be distributed among the many teaching staff and different support staff members.

Following India’s triumphant marketing campaign in 2024, the BCCI had introduced a bonus of ₹125 crore, with every participant receiving ₹5 crore.

Earlier on Monday (March 9, 2026), BCCI president Mithun Manhas had praised the staff for changing into the primary facet to defend the T20 World Cup and the primary to win the event on house soil.

“Winning the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is a moment of immense pride for the entire nation. To defend the title and achieve this feat on home soil makes it even more special,” Manhas stated.
