J&Ok Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday underlined the necessity to set up peace within the Union Territory (UT), whereas noting that safety didn’t relaxation with the elected authorities.
“Maintaining peace is the responsibility of the authorities tasked with it, not his government, and those responsible should fulfil it,” Mr. Abdullah mentioned, after unveiling the particular version “Peace Jersey” of Real Kashmir FC in Srinagar.
He was making an oblique reference to the J&Ok Lieutenant-Governor, who instructions the safety companies within the UT.
Mr. Abdullah careworn that peace was a prerequisite for improvement, tourism and sports activities. “Peace is a must. Now, the day-night match that was discussed, if the environment is not good, then who will come to play in the evening? For everything, we need peace,” he mentioned.
On the brand new jersey, Mr. Abdullah mentioned, “The jersey design is a tribute to Kashmir’s cultural heritage and aspirations. Drawing inspiration from the historic Hari Parbat Fort – a symbol of communal harmony housing a shrine, a temple, and a gurdwara – the kit features a sky-blue base signifying peace.”
He added that the federal government was dedicated to strengthening sports activities infrastructure throughout Jammu and Kashmir. “Sports are a vital bridge for peace. Ensuring this is a responsibility that must be fulfilled by all concerned,” he mentioned.
