Two males from India, accused of robbing and assaulting two sex workers in lodge rooms whereas holidaying in Singapore, had been every sentenced to 5 years and one month in jail, together with 12 strokes of the cane on Friday (October 3, 2025).

Arokkiyasami Daison (23) and Rajendran Mayilarasan (27) pleaded responsible to voluntarily inflicting damage whereas robbing the victims, reported The Straits Times.

The courtroom heard that Arokkiyasami and Rajendran arrived in Singapore from India on April 24 for a trip. Two days later, whereas strolling in the Little India space, an unknown man approached them and requested in the event that they had been in hiring prostitutes for sexual companies.

The man then supplied them with the contact data for two ladies earlier than leaving.
