Election Commission revises electoral roll revision schedule across five states and Delhi

NEW DELHI — The Election Commission of India has revised the schedule for the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, extending deadlines and final publication dates across five states and the national capital.
Under the updated timeline, the final electoral rolls for Haryana, Telangana, Nagaland, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra are scheduled for publication on November 30. Meanwhile, the final publication of the electoral roll for Delhi has been pushed back to December 22.
The commission has directed concerned officials to publicise the revised schedules extensively and inform all registered political parties in writing.
The adjustments involve specific windows for administrative reviews and public participation across the affected regions. In Delhi, the period for filing claims and objections runs until November 25, followed by the notice phase and disposal of claims and objections continuing through December 15.
In Maharashtra, the claims-and-objections phase runs until November 25, with the initial filing window closing on November 13. For Nagaland, the notice phase and disposal of claims and objections will proceed until November 25. Haryana’s corresponding administrative phase has been extended until November 20, while Telangana’s period will continue until November 26.
