Disney stated “Jimmy Kimmel Live” will return to its ABC community lineup on Tuesday (September 23, 2025), six days after it suspended the talk-show host following threats by the Federal Communications Commission chairman over feedback the host had made about the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
In saying the determination to convey Mr. Kimmel again to the airwaves, ABC’s dad or mum firm stated it had suspended manufacturing of the present “to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country.”
The Disney assertion went on to say the firm felt a few of Mr. Kimmel’s feedback in query “were ill-timed and thus insensitive.”
However, after additional discussions with the ABC late-night host, “we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday,” Disney stated.
